David Sizemore, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away May 28th, 2024. He was born in Oneida, Kentucky, August 16th, 1950, to parents Bergie and Margaret Sizemore.
David was a very hard worker. He worked for Allison Transmission for many years before retiring. He went on to own and operate his own autobody shop and car lot, as well as start his own printing business, printing promotional apparel and paper goods.
On February 13th, 2005, he married his wife, Catherine. They shared 19 wonderful years together.
David was a strong, loving man. He had a passion for cars. He loved fixing them, driving them, going to car shows, anything to do with cars. He enjoyed cruising on his Harley, and he and Catherine took many road trips together. Though is favorite place to be “home.” He adored his family. You could often find him relaxing with a cigar, playing with his grandchildren, chatting with his family.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; his children Brandi Sizemore, Olivia Sizemore; step children Rockwell Nelson, Cedrick Brown, Shakelia Brown, Derrick Brown; grandchildren Halli Alford, Cameron Lewis, Madyson Lewis, Gabriel Smith Jr., Livie Solano; step grandchildren Hunter Brown, Hayden Brown; great-grandchildren Keaston Lewis; siblings John Sizemore and Edith Smallwood; many loving friends including Mick, Marvin and Staci; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his children Traci Sizemore, and Becky Sizemore; and siblings Brenda, Ray, Steve, George, Sue, Bobby, and Carl.
David’s visitation will be Wednesday June 5th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 11-1pm. His funeral will begin at 1pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
