David Samuel Herron, 89 of Indianapolis, passed away at home Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born on January 19, 1933, in Cookeville, TN, to the late Logan and Delina Herron. David married the love of his life, Reba Flatt in 1955 who predeceased him. They were married for 55 years.
David served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Traders Point Church of Christ where he enjoyed participating in bible study and worship service until his decline in health prevented him from attending.
David was well known as “Mr. Fix It” to his family and friends. He enjoyed his occupation in construction for many years and after retirement it continued as a hobby. He took pride in helping others as best he could. Most importantly, he was known as a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandpa and friend to many.
David is survived by his children Patricia D. (James) Groll and Vickie M. (Michael) Clevenger, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
David is preceded in death by his parents Logan and Delina Herron; his sister Louise Summers; and his three brothers Roscoe Herron, Harvey Clouse, and JB Herron.
