David Lee Georg

David Lee Georg, 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 20, 2022, after a brief illness.

David was born on December 9, 1938, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Richard and Elynore Georg. He graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy; he went on to study Electrical Engineering at Marquette University and earned his MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. He was a proud alumni of both universities and delighted in supporting both their academic and athletic endeavors. David proudly worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation (which was acquired by ABB Corporation) for over 50 years before retiring in 2014.

David is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Betsy Georg (nee Baker); their children: Ann McBride (Tim) of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Andy Georg (Mariciel) of Belmont, California, Kathy Berman (Jason) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Suzanne Georg of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren: Abbey McBride, Julia Berman, Daniel Berman, and Luke Georg; and his siblings: Richard Georg (Mary), Pat Fisher (Jim), Steve Georg (Bonnie) and MaryEllen Schultz (Bob).

Dave was a warm, thoughtful man with a generous and inquisitive spirit. He had a hearty laugh and a big heart, and he brought joy (and food) to all he met. He loved a good martini and a meal with friends and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:00pm. to 7:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis following Mass.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
