David Lee "Brownie" Brown

David Lee “Brownie” Brown 71 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 25, 2023. He was born July 3, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Gerald F. and Dolores (Grow) Brown. David worked for Trader Paper for many years along with Jenn-Aire and Enterprise Car Rental. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, NASCAR, traveling to Tennessee, especially Gatlinburg, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. David was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy (Herald) Dilk-Brown, his children, Brandi (Gabriel) Christy, Scott Brown, Chrystal (Jason) Hammer, his grandchildren, Christopher and Jacob Hammer, his siblings, Bill (Audrey) Brown, Carolyn Blundell, Dan (Karen) Brown, Linda (Paul) Scheier, Sharon Sarvis, Jeannie Brown, his brothers-in-law, Ed Harper, Glenn (Debbie) Herald, his nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. You are invited to celebrate David’s life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 2:00-5:00pm at 2955 South Fleming Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46241 with his family to share your stories and memories. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial gift may be made to the Alzheimer Association and IndyHumane (formerly Indianapolis Humane Society).
