David Christopher Griffith

David Christopher Griffith, 46, passed away on Feb 28th 2017 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife Michelle and two amazing children Benjamin, age 15 and Lydia, age 13 and his trusted pup Duncan. He was the loving son of Stephen and Virginia Griffith and brother to Matt (Tiffany) and Kyle (Kate). He was also the uncle to 3 nephews, 2 nieces and a future niece/nephew due this August. David graduated from North Central High School in 1988 where he was an accomplished cross country runner. He then enlisted in the Air Force as a fireman and served in the Gulf War. He studied computer science at IUPUI. He has worked as a software architect for 22yrs. He lastly was employed by DWA in Carmel where he was sure he would retire. David and Michelle met in 1998 and we're married in May 2000. They soon moved to Lawrence Township and began their family. In 2003 he was diagnosed with MS but never let that define him or slow him down. He loved to vacation with his family including snow skiing, boating, camping and beach walking. You could always find him with his kids and neighbor kids playing football or basketball. He also loved to build things like fire pits and pergolas and work on Michelle's to-do lists. David will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a calming, intelligent and gentle force as well as an incredible father and husband.
