David D. Bunting

David Donovan Bunting, 96, of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away on January 11, 2025. David was born in Indianapolis Indiana on August 17, 1928, to parents Harley and Alta (Hartley) Bunting. During his career, David worked as a manager for Chrysler Corporation where he retired. David liked to play pool, golf and tinker with electronics and cars; and was tech savvy and an avid computer user. David was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. David was a devoted Christian man and an active member of Calvary Tabernacle.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harley, and Alta; wife Thelma nickname Timi (Davis); wife Carol (Crawford); and siblings: Helen Niemann (Carl), Verne nickname Bo (Betty); and son Michael, granddaughter Emily (Rick) and stepdaughter Lee Ellen (Loudermilk) Troester (Carol).

David will be lovingly missed by his children (Timi): Donna Chastain (Ernie), Steve, Rick (Lisa), and Rene’ Archer (Pat); stepson (Carol) Robert Loudermilk and stepson-in-law Gregg Troester (Lee Ellen), grandchildren: Stacey, Tabitha and Christina (Steve), Jeremy and Eric (Rick), Scott and Ben (Rene’), and many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral service will begin at 1PM. David will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of David.
