David Dewayne Bell

David "Babay" Bell, 67, of Indianapolis, left this world too soon, on February 3rd, 2025. He was born in Indianapolis on September 8th, 1957, to parents Wade Bell Jr and Ozia Mae Young.

David grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis and attended Arsenal Tech High School.

On October 10, 2009, David married the love of his life, Robin Lynn Johnson. He and Robin shared over 40 wonderful years together.

Very handy, and a very hard worker, David worked as a maintenance professional for an apartment complex for many years.

David was a strong, loving gentleman. A true family man, David loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was passionate about sports and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, football any sport that was on TV. David enjoyed spending time at Raceway Park watching drag racing. You could also catch David watching Nascar racing anytime it was on.

David always brought the good times to any party. David loved listening to music. He had a love for the blues and gospel music. You could always find David playing his comb or harmonica right along with the music.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Robin Bell; Children, Dwanna (Jerome)Walton and Clifford Nourse Jr. grandchildren Unique (NeeNee) Oliver and Rejion (Dwante) Burrell; great-grandchildren Kennedy Rollins, Demi Morton, Kyree Burrell Unity Johnson and Giovanni Polk's siblings; Benjamin Young, Steven Bell, Wade Bell Ill, JoJo Bell, Jacqueline Bell, uncles Ron Watson, Allen Watson, Paul Watson and Billy Watson and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

David took a very special interest in his nephew Ronald Gene Joel Norris, who cared for David until his final day.

David is preceded in death by his parents Wade Bell Jr and Ozia Mae Young and sister Rosiln Ann Bell and Aunt Wilma Sadberry.
