David Anthony Bischoff, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on May 1, 2021. David was born on January 14, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Thomas and Carol Bischoff. He dutifully served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy from 1950-1970. He proudly retired as an EMCS(SS). Following his retirement from the Navy, David worked for FC Tucker/JMB from 1970-1994. He was also a lifelong member of both the VFW and American Legion. David will be missed by all the lives he has touched.
David is survived by his sons, Paul Bischoff—USMC Retired (Josephine) and Steven Bischoff—USMC Retired (Christine); his sisters, Carol Berlier (Jack) and Susan Barlow (Jim); his grandchildren, David Bischoff II— USAF Staff Sergeant (Lindsay), Samantha Kirloff (Chris), Kaitlyn Campbell—USAF Staff Sergeant, Thomas Bischoff, Savannah Bischoff; and 6 great-grandchildren.
David is preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife Peggy Bischoff.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 12PM-2PM at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will begin at 2PM. David will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery next to his late wife, Peggy.
