David Allen Clark, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 2, 2022. David was born in Crawfordsville, IN on November 29, 1944 to parents, Charles and Alpha Pauline (Shinkle) Clark. He served his country honorably in the Indiana Army Reserves. During his career, David worked as an Indiana State Trooper for 25 years and served as a Special Investigator for the Indiana Inspector General for 15 years.
David was very social, striking up a conversation with just about anyone he met. He enjoyed photography and was proud to have won first place for two of his nature and landscaping entries at the Indiana State Fair. David also enjoyed woodworking, including wood carving and frame making. In addition, David enjoyed riding his bicycles, attending yard sales, watching westerns, reading western novels, and listening to American Indian music.
David was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church; the Montgomery Masonic Lodge #50; and the Indianapolis Scottish Rite.
David is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beth Clark; two sisters; son, Scott Clark; brother-in-law, Phillip Gatchell; sister-in-law, Michelle Gatchell; nephew, Avery Gatchell; and several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.
Family and friends may call from 10am until 12 Noon on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Avenue, Indianapolis, where funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 12 Noon. Entombment will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Irvington Presbyterian Church or the Salvation Army.
