Davanna “Davi” Lynn House, 52, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on April 15, 2018. She was born October 3, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John Brancheau and Senda Smith; one of 3 siblings.
An Indianapolis native, Davi graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1984. She met the love of her life, James House, in 1992 through mutual friends; the two went on to marry December 14, 1996. They spent 25 wonderful years together, raising one son, Andrew. She was a family oriented woman who loved collecting various items from frogs to SnowBuddies to carousels, all of which she lovingly displayed in her home. Some might even say she collected shoes, though she was most often seen going barefoot. She also loved music, preferably by John Mellencamp, Billy Squire, Garth Brooks, or Kenny Chesney. Davi was also a huge fan of NASCAR, particularly Tony Stewart. Though, she met him once and had to ask who he was since she only recognized him in all his gear. Any race day, if Tony was driving, you could bet she was watching. Family remembers her as a woman who lived a good life, despite her health woes, and one who was always in good spirits. She will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her.
Surviving to cherish Davi’s memory are husband, James House; parents John Brancheau and Senda Smith; son, Andrew House; step-daughter, Jeanette House; brother, Tony Brancheau; sister, Jocelyn (Dan) Charleswood; wonderful friend; Tony Kinsey; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
