Darla A. Boyd

Darla A. (Kuykendall) Boyd, 83, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 9, 2022.  Darla was born on May 6, 1939, to parents, Everett and Susie (Foley) Kuykendall.  She worked as an accountant during her career.  Most recently, she worked as a customer service representative at Walmart and was a member of their ladies’ group, “The Heifers”, who would meet regularly and take on various charity works.  Darla loved spending time with her family, especially playing games and accusing others of cheating if they happened to win!  Darla loved animals, and adored her dog, Jaxx and cat, Sam.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Susie; husband, Lawrence Boyd; twin sons, Terry and Kerry Carpenter), and one daughter, Kathy Margis.

Darla is survived by her daughters: Denise Bergfeld (Wallace), Renee Garrity (Norm) and Julie Parish (Jeff); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family members and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis), where funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 1pm.  Burial will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
