Danny Uberto

93, of Plainfield, IN passed away December 22, 2016. Danny was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 4, 1923 to parents, Pasquale and Gemma Uberto.

Danny served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII, serving in Normandy and was a Purple Heart recipient. During his career, Danny worked as a Millwright for the Chrysler Foundry.

Danny was preceded in death by two wives, Helen (Strodtman) Uberto and Geraldine (Cooper) Deeter Uberto and his daughter, Sharen Uberto Wilkerson.

Danny is survived by his son, David Uberto (Amy); stepchildren: John Deeter (Sharon), Charles Deeter (Charlotte), Marie Kemple (Marvin) and Gwen Pace (Mike); grandchildren: Katie, Michael and John Uberto; Amy Pierse, Thomas and Robert Deeter; Michael “Mickey” and Matthew Costello and Joshua Wilkerson; as well as two great-grandchildren: Parker and Cameron Costello.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1pm until 2pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, where memorial services will follow at 2pm. Burial with military honors will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
