Danny K. Tarter

Danny K. Tarter, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away March 30^th, 2023. He was born in Indy, July 28^th, 1950, to parents Marvin and Ethel Tarter.

Danny grew up in Indy and graduated from Manuel high school.

He worked as a truck driver for Monarch Beverages for many years before retiring.

Danny was strong, loving gentleman- truly a jack of all trades. In his early years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was an avid record collector and frequented antique malls and yard sales looking for the next collectable. Danny enjoyed hanging out with his buddies, playing pool and darts, and sipping a cold beer. He enjoyed going to casinos and took his karaoke performances seriously.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his children Dwayne (Angie) Tarter, and Shannon (Chris) Davis; grandchildren Erin, Angelique, Cecilia; great grandchildren Ayden, Alina, Kolton, Michael; and great-great grandchildren Nevaeh; sister Dreathia Lawson; and canine companion Thunder.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Danny’s celebration of life will take place at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, for his family and friends, Friday, April 14th, from 5-7pm.
