Danny Joe Adams

Danny Joe Adams, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on Sunday, April 29, 2018.

He was born on May 25, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late John O. and Harriett “Betty” (Frey) Adams.  He attended Arsenal Tech High School and graduated from Manual High School in 1959.  Danny worked for a brief time as a delivery man for Sunshine Biscuit Co. before transitioning to L.S. Ayres; where he gave 30+ years of service.  After L.S. Ayres closed he worked as a truck driver and retired from Marsh Supermarkets.  Danny was a past member of the Prospect Masonic Lodge and enjoyed woodworking projects in his garage.  He was an avid sports fan, supporting all the Indiana teams.  Danny loved the beach, and enjoyed traveling with his family.  Some of his most memorable trips included England, Belize, and his most recent trip to Washington D.C.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Adams; children, Jeffrey John Adams and Stacey Dyann (Amitav) Thamba; grandchildren, John Casey Adams, Cody Lebeau, Jason LeBeau, Aish Thamba, Alvina Thamba, Alvin Thamba.  He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Abby.  Danny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert L. Adams; and granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Adams.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.  Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10-11am, with funeral services immediately following.  Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
