Daniel P. Scott, 43, passed away on July 23, 2024, in his hometown of Indianapolis. He was born on June 27, 1981, to parents, Jerilyn Ward and David Scott.
Dan attended Lawrence North High School, where he was a tenor in the Classic Edition, Satin Jazz, and Chamber choirs, and participated in several school musicals. His love of music and singing continued throughout his life, a joy and talent he shared with his only child. Dan married his wife in 2018, with whom he enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and playing with their fur baby. They were always each other’s favorite person to be with.
Throughout his twenty-one-year career at Roche Diagnostics, Dan made significant contributions to the medical field. His expertise and passion left a lasting impact on all those he worked with, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Outside of work, Dan's true joy came from spending time with his beloved wife and family. He cherished every moment shared with them, creating countless memories with his sense of humor, and penchant for laughter and practical jokes. Dan loved sitting down at the piano and inviting anyone who was willing to sit and sing with him. Dan especially loved singing with his three siblings. Dan's kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone around him, leaving a legacy of warmth and positivity.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Christina (Cooper) Scott; child, Moth Scott; parents; siblings, Jeff (Marc) Scott, Matt (Allison) Scott, and Katie Scott; many younglings, and countless other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Ward, who loved and cared for Dan as his own; best friend, Tammy Fanelli; and grandparents.
In remembrance of Dan, we celebrate the life of a remarkable individual whose presence brought light and love to all those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished by many and that his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
“Every moment one lives is different from the other. The good, the bad, hardship, the joy, the tragedy, love, and happiness are all interwoven into one single, indescribable whole that is called life. You cannot separate the good from the bad. And perhaps there is no need to do so, either.” Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA in Dan’s name at – ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929
