Dana Jo "Dody" Tingle

Dana Jo “Dody” Tingle, 64, of Indianapolis passed away on August 31, 2018. She was born April 15, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Daniel and Beverly Tingle; the oldest of 5 siblings.

Dody is best remembered as someone who was always happy and a sweetheart to everyone she met. She lived a good life with her family by her side every step of the way. The princess of the family, Dody collected dolls, stuffed animals, and pennies. Family would save all their pennies to give to her when they saw her, though she also enjoyed the occasional quarter. She enjoyed swimming, traveling, and loved M&Ms and Coke. Dody was a genuine woman with a heart of gold, she will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to meet her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel; brother, Troy. Surviving to cherish her memory are mother, Beverly; siblings, Diana (Dale) Henson, Daniel (Kim) Tingle, Donna (James) Kukman; nieces and nephews, Ryan Scott, Amy Foxworthy, Brandon Kukman; great-nieces and nephews, Cade Scott, Corbin Flowers, Wyatt Scott, and Lucy Foxworthy.

Friends and family are invited to visit Tuesday, September 4 from 4-8 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, 46221. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, September 5 at 10 AM at the funeral home. In honor of Dody, donations may be made to the Decatur Township Fire Department, 5410 S High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
