Dan Sanford Bledsoe Sr.

Dan Sanford Bledsoe Sr., age 81 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025.

Dan was born on June 26, 1943 in Palm Beach, Florida, a son of George Washington and Hattie Lee (Grimes) Bledsoe.

He married Linda Holt on October 30 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Linda Bledsoe of Indianapolis.

Dan is survived by his children: daughter Marcie (husband Percy) Overton of Princeston, IN, daughter Tracy (husband Mario Lopez) Lopez of Indianapolis, and son John (wife Katrina) Bledsoe Sr. of Greenfield, IN

Many grandchildren and great grandchildren survive.

Many other family members and relatives also survive.

He is survived by his sister Margaret of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Ralph Bledsoe, Reece Bledsoe, Birdie Lair, Gloria Miller, and Juanita Robins

Dan is preceded in death by two children: daughter Paula Bledsoe (1998) and son Dan Bledsoe Jr. (2021).

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.

Dan’s funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.

Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
