Damon R. Auble age 98, passed away on January 23, 2019. He was born August 16,1920 in Forest Indiana to Frank and Bertha Strohl Auble. He graduated from Clarks Hill High School, attended Indiana University and graduated from Butler.
He married the love of his life Lucille Helen (Cubel) Auble on December 31, 1942 and their life journey continued together for nearly 72 years before her passing in 2014. We know they are together again and celebrating in heaven. Damon retired from Western Electric after 31 years, was the Business Administrator at Northminster Presbyterian Church and spent several years as a Key Club Sponsor at Broad Ripple High School.
He is survived by his sister Carolyn Barnes, his sons – David (Peggy), Mark (Karen) and Paul (Jennie), 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Bertha and siblings: Paul, Harold, Ruth Ann and Roland.
Damon expressed his love for his family in so many ways and all will miss him. He enjoyed the love and friendship of his many church friends, Men’s prayer breakfast at the church, SNIBS bible study, and from American Village where he resided the last seven years.
Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Northminster Presbyterian Church with calling one hour before the service. There will be a private family burial following the service at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Lebanon.
