Dale L. Watson, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 17th, 2020. He was born on December 23rd, 1953 to Rolland and Doris (Campbell) Watson in Indianapolis.
Dale graduated from Lawrence Central High School and furthered his education at Indiana State University, IU, and the University of Indianapolis. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1976.
Dale was the President and Co-owner of Colors Inc.
Dale married the love of his life, Julie Burke, in 1994 and they spent 25 wonderful years together.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Dale loved the Colts and he loved NASCAR. He was a sports fanatic and loved to watch March Madness and any sports on TV. He liked to spend time gardening and crafting around the house. In his younger years, he loved to travel, spending time in the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. He was also a proud Eagle Scout. Dale was driven, intelligent, hardworking man, a fantastic listener, and an excellent problem-solver. He attended McCordsville United Methodist Church and took great comfort in his faith. He lived by Christian principles. He adored his wife and family and will be greatly missed by all.
Dale is survived by his wife, Julie, children Jeremy (Jill) Watson, Samantha (Drew) Neddo, Jeffrey (Sarah) Thomas, Gregory (Brittney) Thomas, seven grandchildren, brother Ray (Pat) Watson, sister-in-law Kellie (Jon) Fuller, niece Dawn (Adam) Webb and nephew Kevin (Erin) Fuller, two great-nephews and “fur babies.”
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Rolland and Doris.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held for Dale at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East Cemetery.
Dale’s family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
