Dale E. Cotton

Dale E. Cotton, 81, passed away peacefully at Community North Hospital on September 16, 2017. Dale was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, B. Lee Cotton, just seven months ago. Dale served two years in the Army, then began a 35 year career with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department where he achieved the rank of Captain. He served many interesting roles including running the photo lab and doing PR photography for several Sheriffs. Dale always had a positive attitude and was kind to everyone he met, gaining many, many friends along the way. He is survived by his son Jon E. Cotton, daughter-in-law Jane Cotton, and grandsons Alex 18 and Brandon 15. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite).
