Curtis Ronald Ragan, Sr.

Curtis Ronald Ragan, Sr. 85, of Indianapolis, (currently of Englewood, Florida) passed away Monday, December 2nd.

Ron, Sr., was born on October 28^th, 1934 to Curtis and Gladys Ragan. He attended Ben Davis High School. He later went on to attend both Presbyterian College in South Carolina, and Memphis State University in Tennessee. While at Presbyterian College, he met his wife Sylvia whom he was married to for 59 years. They went on to have 4 children, Ron Ragan, Jr., Rhonda Ragan Narmore, Lynda Ragan Markland and Lori Ragan McClurg. He had 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was a Superintendent for General Motors (Allison’s Transmission) for over 30 years when he retired.

Ron, Sr. was preceded in death by his loving wife Sylvia, daughter Rhonda and granddaughter Sherrie Ragan.

In his retirement, Ron spent time in Florida and liked to travel and spend time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East on Thursday, December 12^th with a calling from 12-2, and funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
