Crystal Louise was born September 23, 1926 in Montgomery County, TN to Grace Quarles Anglin and William McKinley Anglin. She passed away peacefully October 20, 2016 surrounded by family.
Crystal graduated from grade school in Tennessee and moved with her parents and sister, Catherine to Indianapolis where she enjoyed singing and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in June of 1945.
Crystal was baptized into the Catholic faith at Holy Angels Church where she married Wilfred Lee Michael on June 11th, 1949. Crystal was an active member of Holy Angels and served as Mission Chairman. She was a caring and devoted mother to her 8 children. When her children were grown, she worked at RCA Victor Company for many years. Crystal also worked at G.C. Murphy Company until she retired. During her retirement, she worked for ten years at Kroger’s grocery store. Crystal married Clarence Taylor on February 14th, 1989.
Crystal enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her recipes with her children and grandchildren. Crystal also enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful flowers. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family. Crystal loved to travel, especially to visit family. She spent time in Los Angeles and San Diego with two sons, Minnesota with another son and his family, and traveled to Japan to visit her grandson. Crystal also spent many summers in Connecticut with her daughter and her family.
Crystal was proceeded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, and two sons, Leslie and Timothy.
Crystal is survived by her children – Consuella, Angela, Stephen (Nancy), Marie, Mark, and Christopher; 12 grandchildren – Michelle (Roger), Keith, Cher, Jeremy, Vanessa, Lynette, DonRamondo, John (Jennifer), William, Crystal (Marc), Danny, Nick, and Sidra; 15 great grandchildren – Danada, Aigner, Paris, Roger, Gabrielle, Sade, Ajani, Mikaili, Jari, DonRamando, Rayshawn, Layla, William, Adonis, and Jade.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brandon Perkins and the staff in the ICU at St. Vincent Carmel hospital. Donations in Crystal’s honor can be made to Holy Angels building fund.
