Creighton Mcguire

Creighton McGuire, 51, of Indianapolis, IN passed away after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by family in Pflugerville, TX, on August 9, 2020.

He was born and raised on the far east side of Indianapolis, where he stayed to raise his own family and give back to the community and as a coach and soccer club president. He spent his last 4 years on an adventure with his wife in Austin, TX.

Creighton is best remembered by his sense of humor, knowledge of useless trivia, love of family, friends, and Notre Dame football. He was an avid story-teller, golfer, Scrabble player, doodler, reader, drummer, and baby whisperer. He was a graduate of Warren Central HS (1987) and Purdue, School of Agriculture (1995).

He is survived by his loving wife, Angie McGuire; children: Erika Broadnax (Garrett), Emily, Jacob; parents: Marilyn McGuire and Michael McGuire; siblings: Chris (Jen), Carolyn (Troy), Greg, Jeff; grandchildren: Isaiah and Naomi; 5 nephews and 2 nieces.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Louis and Rose Meyer, Francis and Frank Scharlau; Father- and Mother-in-law: Elmer “Hoop” Hoopingarner, Theresa Reeves Hoopingarner; Aunts: Kathy Berkholz, Janet Meyer.

Arrangements are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park. Creighton will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Creighton requested that donations be made the to Make-a-Wish Foundation.

An intimate family ceremony will be held at Holy Spirit before the burial at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park.
