Craig B. Schaller, 70, passed away on March 2, 2023.
Born in Indianapolis to Paul B. and Maxine L. (Craig) Schaller.
Craig attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and enjoyed following the Grateful Dead around the Midwest during those years. Craig spent his summers while growing up and for many years after, vacationing with his family at Lake Manitou in Rochester, IN, at their lake house. He loved water skiing, swimming, boating, and playing pool. His other hobbies included watching auto racing, IndyCar & NASCAR, both live & on TV. Craig attended 62 Indy 500s in the same family seats at IMS every year. He also attended the Brickyard 400 since the inaugural race. He adored taking his wife on drives in their 77 Corvette with the T-Tops out. Later in life Craig enjoyed spending time with friends at The Fraternal Order of The Eagles Lodge #211 in Indianapolis. Craig’s greatest joys in life were his wife Debbie and in retirement babysitting his grand dog, Bentley.
Craig is survived by his daughter Ruth L. Minch, sister, Paula Schaller Robert, brother-in-law Ray Robert Jr., along with sisters-in-law, Michelle Brosmer and Brenda Bryant, and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents & his wife Debra K. (Brosmer) Schaller, mother-in-law Ruth Brosmer, and brothers-in-law Michael J. Brosmer & Martin D. Brosmer.
