Courtney Laine Parmer Skaggs

Courtney Laine Parmer Skaggs, 41 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly January 27, 2023. She was born on December 30, 1981, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Kenneth D. and Mary J. (Hurst) Parmer. Courtney had worked in Security position with Geodis. She enjoyed life and loved to pull pranks on her friends and family members as she was quite the jokester and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Courtney loved and spoiled her fur babies, Sabrina, and Mila. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Courtney is survived by her loving husband, Michael J. Skaggs whom she married on March 26, 2010, her children, Gina Robertson (Thomas Pursley), Gavin Ramirez (Taylor McKinney), Baeden Ramirez, her stepdaughter, Lindsey Skaggs, her stepson, Christopher Skaggs, her granddaughter, Amora Nicole Pursley, her mother, Mary J. Parmer, her stepfather, Tom Sylvia, her brother, Kenneth M. (April) Parmer, her sisters, Dawn Lowden, Lorri Johnson, Savannah Sylvia, and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth D. Parmer. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2022, 2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with visitation there from 12:00pm until the service time. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery following the service. The family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to IndyHumane (formerly Indianapolis Humane Society).
