Connie Raymond
Constance Ann Phyllis Olivia Elizabeth Terwelp Raymond passed away October 4, 2022. Connie, the fifth child of Rome and Lillian Terwelp, was born February 18, 1933 in Quincy Illinois. She attended Quincy Notre Dame High School but after her father was promoted and transferred to Indianapolis, she graduated from Shortridge Highschool in 1950. Connie went on to attend Butler University. She married the love of her life, George Eldon Raymond also from Quincy Illinois. They were married 49 years before his passing in 2001. Together they raised three children who learned the value of Sunday dinner, how to prepare all the meals in advance for camping trips and the importance of family. Connie’s favorite hobby was bridge followed by any other card game. Connie was a sports enthusiast whether it was grandchildren’s games or IU basketball. She never missed the Hurrying Hoosiers on TV and she followed the Colts and Pacers as well. She was famous for her potato salad but will be remembered the most for the love and support she showed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Connie is survived by her sons Michael (Paula) Raymond, David (Jamie) Raymond and daughter Cheryl Raymond, nine grandchildren, Michael (Ali), Jennifer (Jarrett), Jason, Parker, Andrea (Eric), and Austin, and seven great grandchildren, Grace, Kate, Ben, Sophie, Charlie, Jack, and Kate.
A graveside service is planned at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Saturday October 15th, 2022, at 9am.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s name may be made to St Pius X School where numerous great grandchildren attend.
