Con G. Olson, Jr., 95 of Carmel, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. Con was born March 19, 1925 in Platte, SD to the late Con G., Sr. and Ida Nelson Olson. Con was a machinist for the Richardson Company many years, retiring in 1988.
Con loved to hear the word of God from a very early age and always had an unbreakable love for the things of God. His unwavering, child-like faith spoke volumes and touched so many lives through the years.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 25 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel. The funeral services will be held Friday, February 26 at 10:00 am, with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:00 am for those attending the funeral. Con was the widower of Mary Olson. He is survived by his son, Dwayne A. (wife, Bobbie) Olson and their daughter Tricia (husband, Troy) Ballenger and grandchildren, Brittney and Ben Ballenger; son-in-law, David Otero and his children Ashley Otero and Emily Otero. He is also survived by his brother, Verdus Olson, sister, Ina Browning, sister, Virginia Myers (husband, Ralph) and many nieces and nephews, as well as a large host of friends. Con was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Otero and grandson, Rick Olson.
