Colleen L. Day

Colleen L. Day, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 14, 2018.

Colleen was born on March 3, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Ervin and Lillian Mathes. She graduated from Howe High School and attended business college. She married Ronald Day in 1953, after which she went to work for I-NET in their office and retired in 1985, and following her retirement worked as a server for MCL until 2006. She was an animal lover, enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and taking care of her family.

She leaves behind her daughter, Karen E. Surface; grandchildren, Christian “Scott” Surface (Audra), Cody Surface (Ashley), Ronne Surface (Brandon Robinson), Samuel Surface (Haley Lawrence); and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathleen; and grandson, Jacob Surface.

A funeral service will take place, 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 with visitation one-hour prior at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East.
