Colita I. (Evans) Wilson
89, of Avon, passed away peacefully into God’s hands on February 29, 2020. She was the daughter of Everett Loys and Lillian M. (Truax) Evans. She was born in Owen County, Indiana and graduated from Quincy High School in 1948.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed to all who knew her.
She married the love of her life, Don, and they were blessed with 70 years of marriage.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers.
She enjoyed helping others and volunteered many years at Winona Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.
She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth Eileen Cassida.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the medical professionals of Traditions at Reagan Park and Methodist Hospital for all the care and compassion they extended to her.
She is survived by her husband; son, Michael (Catherine) Wilson; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020 from 10 am to 11 am with a funeral service immediately following at 11 am at Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery, Cloverdale, Indiana.
