Clinton Wilburn

Clinton Wilburn, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away November 6, 2017. He was born on August 8, 1934 in Ethel, West Virginia, the son of Noah and Stella (Watson) Wilburn. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 until he was honorably discharged in 1956.

Clinton worked at Kirk and Blum Manufacturing Company as a sheet metal worker for many years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Northwood Subdivision Bowling League and the Old Timers Baseball League in West Virginia. Clinton loved hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and watching sports, especially the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Cincinnati Reds and the Indianapolis Colts.

Clinton will be lovingly missed by his wife, Eva N. Wilburn; children, Teresa (Jay) Lile, Lisa Christopher (Keith Warren), Brenda (Mike) Chinn and Ricky Wilburn; stepchildren, Peggy (Clarence), Eddie (Pam), Steve (Tami), Leasa (Victor), Renee (Jeff) and Rita (Mike); 8 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; and 1 step great great grandchild. Clinton was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Helen Jane Wilburn; his parents; and his siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10am, also at the funeral center. Burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Cancer Society. Contribution envelopes will be available during the visitation and service.
