Clinton E. Kuhn, 85, of Greenwood, IN passed away August 27, 2021. He was born in Evansville, IN on July 11, 1936 to the late Neal J. and Ella M. Kuhn. He graduated from Central High School in Evansville in 1955 and enlisted in the United States Army the same year. After completing Basic Training, he was stationed in Italy. He was so proud to have served our country.
Upon his return, he married his wife of 54 years, Lois, who passed away in July 2013. In 1970 he relocated his family to Indianapolis and began a 31-year career in automotive service and sales.
He began at Kline Volkswagen, which later became Kline-Giganti Volkswagen and then Giganti Volkswagen Porsche Audi, where he was the Vice President and General Manager.
After a brief period of retirement, he returned to work at Ed Martin Honda. He officially retired with his wife in 2001 and moved to Port Orange, FL where they lived until 2013.
Clinton was a dedicated father to his three daughters: Kalah (Robert) Farmer, Nancy Black and Lisa Sloan. He took great pride in his family and loved to joke around over dinner with his grandchildren: Amanda Jimison, Derek (Jessikah) Sloan and Jillian Black. And his Great Grandchildren: Quinn and Liam Jimison.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters: Mary Ellen (James) Hanning and Faye Jeanette (Wallace) Schaaf. Clinton enjoyed all his nieces and nephews: Michael Schaaf, Bud Schaaf, David (Linda) Schaaf, Cynthia (Victor) Bull, Constance (Othmar) Wagner, Christina (Mike) Lee, Brian (Jane) Gibbons, and many great nieces and nephews.
Clinton was an avid golfer and was a member of Maple Creek Country Club for several years. He served as the Club President and was also a club Senior Golf Champion
Clinton was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and the Israel, Church of Jesus in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Association
Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis 46229 on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 3-8PM.
Funeral services will be held the following day Thursday, September 2nd at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis 46229 at 11AM.
