Clifford Leroy Eckles Jr.

Clifford LeRoy Eckles, Jr. 95 of Logansport, formerly of Noblesville, IN, passed away at home on Saturday, May 28, 2022.  He was born on October 18, 1926 in Northville, MI to the late Clifford LeRoy and Lena Elise (Cusson) Eckles.

Cliff was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII.  He was currently the oldest living veteran in Cass County.  Cliff worked for 30+ years as a forklift operator for Massey Ferguson, moving to Indiana to be closer to family following his retirement.

He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, a good warm breakfast and meeting new people.  Cliff was a big personality who loved talking with strangers and making new friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Deanna McKay and Linda Dayberry; grandchildren, Scott Eckles, William Eckles Jr., Michael McKay, Nicholas Eckles, Robert Dayberry, Michael Belleville, Christopher Dayberry and Joshua Dayberry; and great-grandchildren, Daisy, Gemma, Dallas, Barbie Grace & Petra Dayberry.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June E. (McDermott) Eckles; and sons, Larry E. Eckles, William L. Eckles and Gary A. Eckles.

Private family services will be held.  Cliff will be laid to rest with his wife in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
