Clayton Martin

81, of Pendleton, passed away September 23, 2017. He was born on March 23, 1936 in Jonesville, KY as the son of Kenneth and Sarah Martin.
Clayton worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years before retiring. After retirement from Ford Clayton owned and operated his own company, CMA Mortgage.
Clayton was a member of over 50 years to the Masons and Shriners. He was a part of the Muncie Hog Chapter and the Moose Lodge. He had a great love for riding motorcycles, where he was known to put many miles a year on them. Camping was also another one of Clayton’s favorites. He is remembered, by many, by the big smile he always had on his face. The love, joy, and kindness that Clayton shared will be missed by all.
Clayton is survived by his wife Lana Martin; children: Jeff (Pam) Martin, Tony (Laura) Martin, Joe (Beth) Martin, and Julie Vojnovich; grandchildren: Ryan Knight, Katie Martin John Martin, Leslie (Dale) Stapleton, Russ (Erika) Martin, Adam (Amy) Martin, Abigail (Luke) DeCoursey, Josie (RJ) Logan, Jonie (Logan) MacLennon, Jena (Adam) Crouch, Sam Vojnovich, Sarah Vojnovich. Clayton is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Sarah Martin; siblings, Alma Wickard and Robert “Buck” Martin. Clayton was also preceded in death by nephews, Jeffery Clayton Sargent and Timbo Geminden.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Additional visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 with funeral services immediately follow at 11am, also at the funeral center.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made out to Riley Children’s Hospital in honor of Jeffery Clayton Sargent and Timbo Geminden.
