Claude H. Dougherty

Claude H. Dougherty, 90, of Indianapolis passed away September 17, 2017.

Claude was born December 28, 1926 in Barnett Shoals, Georgia to the late Charles A. and Esther May Dougherty. He enjoyed watching Western movies, watching the Cubs and Reds, traveling, and spending time with family.

He leaves behind his children, Darryl (Teri) Dougherty, David (Blaire) Dougherty, Claudia (Bill) Banker, Doug (Betsy) Dougherty, Chuck (Debbie) Dougherty, Laura (David) Lividini, Lisa (Ed) Wilde; 29 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruth Carol; parents; step-mom, Edith; brothers, Charles and Leonard; and sister Laura “Millie”.

Friends and family are invited to gather 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East. A funeral service will take place 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2017 with one hour of visitation prior at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2015 S. Arlington Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery following services.
