Clarice Jewel Carmer

78, of Indianapolis, passed away October 9, 2017. Clarice was born in Lafayette, TN on September 24 1939 to the late Owen J. and Hetty H. (Doss) Harrison. She worked in bookkeeping for the State of Indiana for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Carmer; her parents and siblings O.C. Lovejoy, Christine Hester, Louise Carter and Fairlyn Stinson; and a special niece, Rose Edwards.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Coleman, Kathleen Carmer-Gibson (James), Donna Richey, and B. Dawn Luna (Ernesto); grandchildren: Jason Carmer, Jeffrey Miner, Bobby Thacker, Wendy Castillo, Alexander Klepinger, Eric Thacker, Dustin Hanshew, Thomas Thacker, Christopher Gibson, Alyssa Luna, Logan Miner, Shawna Gibson, Nicholas Luna, Tyler Miner, Cameron Coleman, Brandy Gibson, Ernie Luna and Mason Miner; 35 great-grandchildren; brother, Hollice Harrison and sister, Cathy Ann Quinn.

Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm on Monday, October 16 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 2pm with additional calling from 1pm until the service time. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
