Clarence Richard “Dick” Wyatt Jr., 79, of Indianapolis passed away on February 15, 2020.
Retired from Navistar in 2007 after 48 years of service, Dick was a Vietnam Veteran, longtime member of Valley Mills Christian Church where he served in many roles over the years including Elder, Sunday School teacher, youth sponsor, and volunteer in outreach ministries. He was also a longtime member of Decatur Central Lions Club, serving as treasurer for most of his years with the club. Dick loved to read, play euchre, and watch sports, especially the Packers, Colts, Pacers, St. Louis Cardinals, and IU Basketball.
Dick is survived by his wife Alice (Smith) Wyatt, sons Richard and Mike (Shelly) Wyatt, daughter Stacy Wyatt, grandchildren James, Richard (Kaitlyn) and Jack Wyatt and Diantha Gourdin, great grandchildren Lily, Grace, and Bo Wyatt, sisters Rosie Wyatt and Sherry Davis, and brother Ty Wyatt. Dick is preceded in death by his father Clarence Richard “Dick” Wyatt Sr. and mother Marjorie Lois (Lindamond) (Wyatt) Rider.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11 a.m. with visitation one-hour prior at the funeral home. Dick will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood.
