Cindy K. Truitt

Cindy Kay Truitt, 67, of Indianapolis passed away January 25, 2020. She was born on September 5,1952 and graduated from Westfield High School. She was preceded in death by her parent’s Ralph and Gertrude Lewis, her brother Gary Lewis, her sister Shirley Harris and her husband, Milton Truitt, whom she was devoted to. She is survived by her children, LoveAnn Truitt (Laura Mulgrew) of Juneau, AK; Danielle Clegg (Joseph) of Indianapolis; Chad Truitt of Indianapolis; and Che Truitt (Rachel) of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, 1 sister and 8 sister-in laws, and 4 brother- in laws. And a few bonus children and grandchildren.

Cindy was a hard worker who built her life around her family. She was gifted in her ability to love and forgive and expressed her Christian faith through loving others. If she loved you then you were family. She was a diehard Democrat because she was influenced by her Christian faith, although her father would say, she was the one who didn’t take. Vote Blue 2020!!!!

Her services will be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. Visitation from 11:00am –1:00 pm followed by service from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm. A pitch-in dinner will take place following the funeral at the Westfield Lion’s Club, 120 Jersey St, Westfield, IN., at approximately 3:00 pm.
