Chui King Lam Cheung

Chui King Lam Cheung, 89 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully August 12, 2018.

She was born in China and came to the U.S. in 1973. She founded The House of Cheung Chinese Restaurant in 1979 which is still operated by her family today. She enjoyed working with her family and was the Master of the restaurant. She had a strong work ethic and passed on that hard-working nature to her family always encouraging them to excel and continue their education.

She is survived by her children Lai Wah Wong, Peter S. Cheung (Tao Mei Chiu Cheung), and Robert Cheung, DDS (Esther Ong Cheung, DDS); grandchildren Martin Jr. Wong, Suzy Ishibashi, PhD (Brent), Kevin Wong (Alicia), Alice Cheung Matouk (Philip), Allen Cheung (Jessica Chai), Albert Chi Fai Cheung, Vincent Cheung, MD (Jean Lai), and Frederick Cheung; great-grandchildren Ashlin, Kirin, Kendra, Ysmael, Dominick, and Adrian; brother Hei Wang Lam, and sister Chui Sang Ng.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fu Chen Cheung, granddaughter Tina Woodliffe, son-in-law Martin Wong, siblings Chui Woo Hong and Chui Jang Tam; and parents Kah Kiet Lam and Taing Sao See Tao Lam.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 18 from 10 to 11 AM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM. Burial at Washington Park East Cemetery will follow.

Peter Cheung and the entire Cheung family would like to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support their family business The House of Cheung. This is a true legacy built by the hard work of Chui King and her family that will continue.
