Christy Rene Dreesen

Christy Rene Dreesen, 50, of Brownsburg, passed away December 19, 2018. She was born in Indianapolis to Robert Gerald “Jerry” and Sandra J. Vance Dreesen on September 11, 1968.

Christy pursued her education at RISE Learning center where she completed a high school equivalency certificate. She also attended Crossroads Rehabilitation Center from 1973-1974 where she furthered her education by taking various classes.

Christy loved dancing to children’s music, LEGOs, and picture books. She also loved animals but held a special place in her heart for puppies and ducks. Some of Christy’s favorite foods were hot dogs, Bugles chips, and to drink, she loved milk. One of Christy’s greatest accomplishments was competing in the Special Olympics where she participated in a running event.

Christy is survived by her loving parents, Robert Gerald “Jerry” and Sandra J. Vance Dreesen; sister, Robin and husband Dave Hildebrand; nieces, Bailey and Shelby Hildebrand; and favorite uncle, Larry Maners. Christy is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Russell “Rusty” Dreesen; maternal grandparents, Harold and Aletha “Dee” Fischer Vance; and paternal grandparents, Russell and Lillian Dreesen.

Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 with visitation from 11AM – 12PM with funeral services immediately following at noon.
