Christopher Ranell Brown

December 17, 2010 — April 8, 2020

Indianapolis, Indiana

Christopher Ranell Brown of Indianapolis left his earthly home on April 8, 2020 at the age of 9 after a courageous fight against DIPG.

He was born December 17, 2010 to Jheylon Ranell and Jennifer Lynn Brown.

Christopher attended George Washington Carver Montessori School 87, where his favorite subject was math. He loved riding his bike, playing basketball, and making his baby sister laugh. His biggest passion was playing Fortnite with his brother and father, and he especially loved doing the Fortnite dances.

Christopher was the light of his family’s life, and will be remembered most for his contagious laugh, bright smile and compassionate soul. He loved to help people, and always put others before himself.

Christopher leaves behind his parents Jheylon and Jennifer Brown; brother Michael Brown; sister Savannah Brown; grandparents Andre and Rebecca Ellis, and Randy and Carol Lampkins; great-grandmother Harriet Balsley; great-uncle John Wood; aunts Breanna Baker, Jazmyn Ivy, and Jessica Lampkins; uncle Nico (Kathleen) Lampkins; and a multitude of friends and family who loved him dearly.

Christopher was preceded in death by his aunt Melissa Broyles.

The family is holding private services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but encourages those who would like to be part of his services to watch the live stream on the Flanner Buchanan Facebook page on Friday, April 17 at 2 PM.

Memorial contributions in Christopher’s memory may be made to benefit The Riley Children’s Foundation.
