Christopher H. Cross, affectionately known as Chris, was born on August 26, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He left this world unexpectedly on September 28, 2024, in Fishers, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for his family.
He graduated from: Emmerich Manual High School in 1980, Indianapolis University in 1984, and The University of Memphis – Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law in 1987 (JD).
He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his son Cody Cross and his wife, Carrie Cross. He loved fishing, caving, camping and studying the Bible. He loved serving the Lord and attending his church and being an Elder at the Fishers Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Chris dedicated many years of his life to his career as a Senior Trial Lawyer. Colleagues and clients alike admired him not only for his professional abilities but also for his sweet, kind nature. It was often remarked how his gentle demeanor seemed almost at odds with the competitive world of law. His caring approach and support for others defined both his personal and professional life.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris was a devoted family man. He cherished his family above all else, always present at his son’s sports and school activities, offering encouragement and support every time. His love for his family was palpable, and it was clear that they were his greatest source of pride and joy.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Carrie Cross; son, Cody Cross; children, Isaac, Jacob, Christian and Nicholas Couch and Amanda Flohr; grandchildren, Ethan, Riley, and Millie; sister, Megan (Steven) Cross Childers and their children, Alcey and Audrey; and nephews, Seth (Jessa) Henson & Daniel (Rovelyn) Henson, along with their children, Olive, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Hannah and Hadassa.
