Carmel- Cheryl “Kathy” Crowl, 63, left us to be with the Lord Sunday, May 14th 2017 in her home surrounded by loved ones after a year long battle with cancer.
She leaves her childhood sweetheart, Rick Crowl whom she was reunited with in marriage on March 26th, 2017; her children Brandie Stoneking, Luke Sloan and Katie Burns; Son-In-Law Joshua Stoneking, Daughter-In-Law Marianne Sloan; grandchildren Loren Sloan, Sophia Stoneking, Edward Burns, Jackson Stoneking, Adeline Sloan, George Sloan and Samuel Sloan; siblings Karen Furniss and family, Randy Croxton and family, Diane Borders and family; mother Luvena “Beanie” Walters and many extended families and friends whom she loved dearly.
Born in Avon, IL on December 6th, 1953, the daughter of Richard and Luvena Croxton. She was a resident of Bushnell, IL for most of her life before moving to Carmel, IN in 2008 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Kathy received a Masters in Counseling from Western Illinois University and pursued a career in Mental Health Counseling. She received much joy in helping all people through life's many struggles. She continued to counsel clients until just three weeks before her death.
Kathy enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family and was a beacon of light in the communities in which she resided. She was also a lover of animals and a member of the local EAGALA community.
Visitation will be from 2pm – 5pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel; 325 East Carmel Dr. Carmel, IN 46032, with a service following immediately after.
