Cherish M. Parker

October 10, 1972 — July 9, 2022

Indianapolis, Indiana

Mrs. Cherish Marie Gray Parker was the only child born to Rosemary Buckley and Richard Lawson on October 10, 1972, in Panorama City, California. Both parents preceded her in death. She was raised by her stepfather, Bruce Bunch, who loved her unconditionally as his own. Cherish graduated from Alessandro High School in Hemet California, and later moved to Indiana where she worked at LTCG for many years until she became ill.

Cherish accepted Christ at an early age, and near the end of life she was happy that she was going home to be with God.

Cherish married David Rexrode in November of 1992. From this union one daughter was born. There was one daughter born from a previous marriage, and David and Cherish both shared in the responsibility of raising their girls until 2003 when the marriage was dissolved.

Cherish was united in holy matrimony to Keith Parker on September 9, 2009. Keith and Cherish’s marriage were a true testament to their marriage vows…” To have and to hold from this day forward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.” They shared the joys of being married to each other and raising their children. They took numerous vacations with and without the children. Most importantly they shared endearing love through some rough patches and were there for each other during sickness until Cherish’s transition to a peaceful rest.

Although, Cherish had two biological daughters her love extended to include 9 other children who she considered her sons and daughters as well. She was always finding a reason for the entire family to get together. She was diligent in planning the annual camping trip for the family and anyone who was brave enough to join them. Her biggest gatherings were Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners which were always held after the actual holiday.

When Cherish was not working or involved in family activities she busied herself with reading novels, crocheting, and researching DIY projects. The most notable project is the family tree that is on display in the family home. She loved spending time outdoors enjoying the fresh air and good company. One of the perks of Cherish’s job was that she received free tickets to concerts and sporting events. She loved attending those events with the children and Keith.

She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Keith P. Parker, 3 sons, Raylan C. Parker, Scott A. Parker (Brittany), Angel M. P. Parker, 8 daughters, Shannon D. Sellers, Isabel R. Rexrode, Christen R. Parker, Karissa D. Parker, Kayla M. Moebs, Heaven N. Parker, De’Ajah L. Parker, Kristen M. Parker. 7 grandchildren, 3 honorary grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
