Charlotte Gardner

Charlotte Owen Gardner, 84, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2018, concluding a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Charlotte was a lifetime resident of Indiana, having graduated from Howe High School and Ball State University. In addition to being a fulltime home maker, she was a frequent substitute teacher. She was an active and member of Fall Creek Church for over 50 years.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C. Ronald Gardner. She is survived by her four children, Deanna Gardner, Charissa (Guy) McCaslin, Alecia (Peter) Alecxih and Brant (Deborah) Gardner, fifteen grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Charlotte will be remembered for her love of music, her generosity of spirit, and her willingness to always tell others of the hope she had in Jesus Christ her Lord.

The family will have a short visitation at Fall Creek Church, 8901 Fall Creek Road, Indianapolis, IN at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, followed immediately by a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fall Creek Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
