Charles W. Pitman Sr.

69, of Indianapolis, died on June 1, 2016. Charles was born May 29, 1947 in Eubanks, Kentucky to Henry Pitman Sr. and the late Aileen (Crouch) Pitman. Charles was a Union Electrician for IBEW for many years, before retiring in 1995. He was member of the Marwood Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting coins and trains in his spare time. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Pitman. He is survived by his father Henry Pitman Sr., a son Charles “Chuckie” Pitman Jr. brothers Henry Pitman Jr., Eddie Pitman, Mike Pitman, sisters Crystal Abney, Kat Blake and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park. Services will be Tuesday 2pm in the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to The American Cancer Society.
