Charles R. Tennyson Jr., 76 of Indianapolis, passed away on August 22, 2017.
Charles was born on March 23, 1941 to the late Addie “Murl” Hampton and Charles R. Tennyson Sr. in Dumas, Texas. After graduating high school in Pampa, Texas, he joined the Navy and after 27 years of honorable service to his country he retired with the rank of Master Chief. He was a proud member of the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion.
He leaves behind his daughters, Kim Tennyson, Debbie Foreste (Peter), Sonia Redmon; grandchildren, Anthony Raymond Tiller, Gabrielle Hodge (Cody), Alexandria Redmon, Maguire Foreste, Kessler Foreste, Isabella Tennyson, Oliver Foreste, great-grandchildren, Braxten Hodge, Bailey Grace Hodge, and Baby Love; Lucy and the pack; sister, Carolyn Fields (Chuck); niece, Lori (David) Yoder; 6 great nieces and nephews; 8 great great nieces and nephews; aunt, Virginia Jaramillo; several cousins; former wife, Rosella Tennyson; sister-in-law, Daniela (Dante); brother-in-law’s, Nado (Ereine), Giorgio (Elida); nieces and nephews, Caralotta, Juitta, Giorgia, Ricardo, Marco, Paolo, and Gabriele. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Friends and family are invited to gather from 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to services at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East.
