Charles R. Davis

Charles R. Davis, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away February 19, 2018. Charles was born on October 22, 1926 to the late Walter J. and Helen (Hall) Davis.

Charles was a dedicated Army Veteran who served in World War II. He worked for Western Electirc for 35 years. He was a hard worker and loved spending time with his four children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his four children Gary R. Davis (Rita), Randy A. Davis (Karen), Judith K. Drake (Kolby), and Ricky J. Davis (Julie); sister Effie Fleenor; and 5 grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 46 years Dorothy C. (Orebaugh) Davis, siblings Walter (Bud) Davis Jr., Peggy Herring, Helen Rajer, Eleanor Baker, Lorene Mace, Thelma Davis, and Margarett Wilkes.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with Funeral services beginning at 12 noon. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery with military honors.
