Charles O. Mount, 84 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away May 7, 2022. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on September 3, 1937, to the late Junius Thurman Mount and Anna Mae (O’Bryan) Weaver. He worked 43 years for Ford Motor Co. before retiring and prior to that he worked building homes. Charles is a 1957 graduate of Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis, IN. He served as a volunteer with the Decatur Township Fire Department for 25 years, was the former President and Coached Little League Baseball for the West Newton Little League,he took great pride in his yard and enjoyed working in it. For 32 years he was a Civil War reenactor with the 1st Wisconsin Light Artillery group, and the passion for this hobby brought him to own a cannon, Gatling Gun, and a rolling museum that he would display for the encampments he participated in. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by the love of his life, whom he was married to for 63 years, his wife Patricia L. “Patty” (Mohr) Mount, his children, Denise Mount Morton, Dennis Mount, his grandchildren, Heather Morton Vilches, Brandon Morton and his great grandson, Nathaniel Vilches. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.T. Mount, Jr. and Ed Rzeszot. Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11:00am at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there Thursday, May 12, 2022, 4:00-8:00pm.
