Charles Michael Borden

Charles Michael “Mike” Borden 68, of Brownsburg, IN went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2021, after several years of battling kidney failure and other health issues. He was born January 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Ross J. and Marilyn (Chapman) Borden. Mike graduated from North Central Bible College in 1973. He was an ordained minister, who pastored several Assemblies of God churches both in Indiana and Illinois from 1973-1984. He later became a licensed minister with the Church of God, of Cleveland, TN, and continued to minister in various capacities within the church. Mike had the privilege to serve on two separate mission trips to Ecuador, where he was able to minister to and share the gospel with orphans, the homeless, and fellow missionaries. He was a current member of the Upper Room Church in Mooresville, IN. In addition to attending church, Mike enjoyed golfing, wood working, watching game shows, working his part-time job at Culvers, and spending time with his family.
Mike was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Diana L. (Hammons) Borden, children, Sonja (David) Dashiell, Michael (Sarah) Borden, grandchildren, Andrew Dashiell, Alexander Dashiell, Alayna Dashiell, Ashlyn Dashiell, Adam Dashiell, Maya Borden, Avalyn Dashiell, Carter Borden, sister, Kathy Cernero, and brothers, Stephen Borden and Allen Borden (Robin).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 16th 3:00 PM at City View Church, 275 Shiloh Crossing Dr, Avon, IN 46123. A private Interment ceremony will be held at a later date, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dragonfly Mission International home | DragonflyMissionInt African Missions Organizations Westfield, Indiana (dmionline.org).
