Charles James Spinks

Charles Spinks passed away 8-5-2018. He was born in Northern Ireland. Charles enjoyed family, especially during the holidays. He adored his family, especially his great niece and nephew. During his move from Ireland to the United States, he gained lifelong friends who later moved to Ohio. He thought of them like family and cherished their friendship until the time of his passing. Charles graduated high school in West Virginia in 1963. He served in the Marines from 1963 to 1967. He moved to Ireland in 1968 then to England in 1969 and back to Indiana in 1980. Charles worked for Over Night Trucking and UPS until retiring in 2008. He loved to travel and enjoyed watching high school football. One of Charles’ greatest accomplishments was a 600 mile Camino Santiago walk across Spain.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indpls. Funeral services will take place 11am, Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1401 S. Mickley Ave., Indpls.
